Time appears to be moving at warp speed! Some things are changing while many are staying the same! Over the last month, I have had the humble blessing of being able to do one of the many things I love… preaching consecutive Sundays!

The messages have included:

  • Resetting… a “plumb line” – Amos 7:7-17 and Luke 10:25-37

  • Martha… being worried and anxious and Mary… “has chosen the better part” – Luke 10:38-42

  • Focusing on traction vs. distraction… “Lord, teach me to pray” – Luke 11:1-13

Also, last month, we have been exploring possibilities. Yes, all things are possible!

As we shift a bit, how do our possibilities lead to partnering?

  • How do we move from me to we?

  • How do we shift from scarcity to abundance?

  • How do we build partnerships built on trust?

  • What does it take?

We get so hung up on ownership! We are better when we work together for the greater good!

Me to We
Me to We

Think about a time when you worked with someone, not against them! I can only imagine what positive outcome was achieved. When we do this, we allow God to work within us and through us in every aspect of our life and the lives of others!

2 Corinthians 6:1 – God offers grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Individuals (you and me) must live in a way that demonstrates a genuine commitment to God’s will and not simply accept the gift of grace superficially. In addition to receiving God’s grace, we are not receiving it in vain—we are living a transformed life, we are called to action, we are avoiding hypocrisy, and we are seeking God’s power.

We have been going through so much in our communities, our city, our state, our nation, and the world. We must work together to find the solutions of what can be.

No, it is not coming overnight or by waving a magic wand, but I believe it will get done through:

  • Planning

  • “Seeing people” as they are

  • Valuing their experiences and exposures

  • Working together!

We will get it done! It’s a “we” thing, not a “me” thing!

Partnering looks different than it has in the past. We must invite those who have been affected by the “situation or event” to the table to help us develop solutions and create positive outcomes. We must be willing to hear new voices and bring them into the conversation! We also must respect what they bring to the table!

Work to dance with a partner rather than trying to do it by yourself. Work with those who share your dream and vision. You will be surprised at what will get done!

1 Corinthians 3:9 (NIV) – “For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.”

Let’s build and partner together!

Remember

“We Are One” by Maze, featuring the late Frankie Beverly, carries a message of unity, love, and shared humanity. The song emphasizes that despite individual differences and struggles, people are fundamentally connected and seeking similar things like happiness, love, and security.

Love you all!

Peace and blessings!
