I Am Singing

John 15:11-15 The Message “I’ve told you these things for a purpose: that my joy might be your joy, and your joy wholly mature. This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you. This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends. You are my friends when you do the things, I command you. I’m no longer calling you servants because servants don’t understand what their master is thinking and planning. No, I’ve named you friends because I’ve let you in on everything I’ve heard from the Father.”

How are you my brothers and sisters? As the sun rises and the birds chirp, I’m writing with a humble heart full of love for my family, friends, and all God’s people! What a weekend! We have celebrated our mothers and mother figures! We have graduated the future! As I reflect, I have been full of emotion…love, joy, happiness, peace, excitement, and much more. I’ve cried a lot…all tears of joy! Why is that? The weekend started with having dinner with a dear sister friend who I had not seen for 426 days. My, my, my!!! We get together once a quarter but the last time we had dinner was the week before the Covid shutdown. We hugged, we laughed, we caught up, and just loved every minute of the over 2 hours we were together. It was special! It was good for my spirit and soul! It continued with spending a couple of hours with a brother friend who relocated at the beginning of the year. In between was celebrating graduates and talking about the future! It is about genuinely and authentically connecting and loving on each other! Our senses have been heightened! There is no time for things which are not bringing you love, joy, peace, and happiness. Use your gifts to make the community a better place! I know life is not perfect! There will be times of unrest and things being unjust! There will be bumps in the road but we must operate from a place of abundance not scarcity! Covid has changed us all and things will never be as they were before Covid! I am excited about what new will be created! We need each other! We need the human interactions of love, feelings, emotions, and all the stuff that comes with it! Love harder and play harder! Nothing is guaranteed! Tell those you love you love them! This is the very best way to love.
