Luke says: Much Will Be Required…What do YOU Say?

Luke 12:48...“To whom much is given, much will be required”

For many of you who know me, I often say in conversation and presentations “to whom much is given, much will be required.” I breathe and live this from the very depths of my soul! It is one of my daily mantras! To give has been instilled in me from a very early age!

I love the movies! Many times, there are messages which are hidden unless you look closely. One of those messages that hit me differently comes from Spiderman Peter Parker who says, “with great power comes great responsibility.” We all have power! There have been many who have given to me in so many ways through the years - both in a positive and negative light. Yes, you can learn from the negative as well!

What does is really mean to give? As defined by Dictionary.com, give, a verb, means “to present voluntarily and without expecting compensation; bestow.” We are responsible for what we do and say now more than ever. There is too much hate and despair in our city, state, region and country! What happened to treating everyone with dignity and respect and being our brother’s and sister’s keeper? We have been blessed with talents, wealth, knowledge, time and the like. We must use these to glorify God and benefit others. If you don’t use what has been give to you, you will lose them! Remember to whom much is given…much is REQUIRED.

What are you going to do with the resources you have been given? Here are a few things I would like to suggest:

  • Vote – there are many who have gone before us and will come after us.

  • Use your voice – if you see or hear something, do something.

  • Stand for something – if you don’t, you will fall for anything.

  • Give back – your time, talent and treasure are needed more today than ever before.

  • Be kind – you never know what a person is going through or has been through.

Be the change you what to see! Love you! Let’s do this together! StuffValSaid is going to highlight things I have said but mostly things that have been said to me and how they have impacted my journey. I want to use this blog/platform to GIVE back what has been GIVEN TO ME. Remember, as in these popular songs, “That’s What Friends Are For” by Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, and Elton John and “Wind Beneath My Wings” by Bette Milder and “My Tribute" by Andrae Crouch, we are our brother’s and sister’s keeper! If we don’t help each other, who will?  Today on my birthday, October 27, 2020 I start this new part of my life. Val – the blogger! StuffValSaid is by me but FOR you! Enjoy…let’s do this together!
