Are you weary? Do you find yourself in a constant state of pushing…moving things, people, situations by force? How do you feel about that? Do you find you are tired and drained and not getting anywhere! Are you allowing yourself to be sucked into what you are hearing and seeing?

Well… Is it time for to forget what lies behind and to strain forward to what lies ahead as in Philippians 3:13-14. You are pressing ahead to the goal and prize. You don’t have a choice! You have heard consistently Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

For such a time as this where everything seems to disruptive and chaotic, we must keep our focus on what is and what we can continue to do! We are built for this time! How long have we been making a way out of no way??? Stop reading the headlines and listening to the sound bites…go deep and push through! Stay hopeful, stay focused, stay encouraged! Trouble don’t last always! The question is what are you doing to help your beloved brothers and sisters in our community who don’t have access, opportunity, equity! Everyone has a gift they can share because it does make a difference.

Remember it is not about you! Romans 8:28 share with us “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for the good, for those who are called to his purpose.” Life is going to be ever changing and at times just plain crazy! So as in chess we are the chess pieces and the direction that we want the chess piece to be moved may lead to checkmate but we don’t know that because unlike God, we don’t know the end from the beginning!

As we push through, 1 Peter 2:21 “For God Called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his footsteps.” This verse is encouraging all of us to do good! We are called to do good for all and in every circumstance. That is what we are called to do! This means doing good when it is not popular, and suffering is caused! Suffering will not last always! Keep your eye on the prize so to remain focused and persistent in achieving a goal, even when there are difficulties and setbacks! You can do this! Let’s do the thing! Love you my dear brothers and sisters! Remember our ancestors and all those who have gone before us prepared us for THIS!
