What’s Love… Everything!

Here is an excerpt repost of Blog 11. Enjoy and Happy Valentines Day 2022!

In Mark 12:31 The Message, it says “And here is the second: 'Love others as well as you love yourself.' There is no other commandment that ranks with these." What this means is you need to know what love is and that you are loved. We are to love deeply and unconditionally. Remember God loved us even before Jesus gave Himself to us! If we don’t love ourselves, how can you possibly love someone else! We must show and give ourselves grace. We are to act with compassion and look out for the well-being of ourselves and our neighbors. An old-World War saying, “loose lips sink ships!” We must be intentional with our words and actions! What we say to others and what we say to ourselves. We must forgive ourselves and be forgiving as we deal with the life issues of joy and pain!

As you know this is #StuffValSaid, but what do you say? What are your plans for self-care? Are you willing to be vulnerable? What support do you need? Here are a few things to consider:

• Care – be healthy

• Love – be endearing

• Spirit – be soulful

• Mindful – be conscious

It’s all about love. Self-care is at the center and key and essential to grow, thrive and prosper! Let’s get to the business of taking GOOD care! As best said by Brene Brown “You’re imperfect, and you’re wired for struggle, but YOU ARE WORTHY of love and belong.” Let us get to the business of loving ourselves and taking good care of ourselves!
